Sar Evans is an emerging composer with a passion for composing screen music and orchestration work. They have a unique and expansive style, creating soundscapes that capture attention and enhance experiences.

Sar has a Bachelor of Music (Composition for Creative Industries) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. They are a multi-instrumentalist, having studied the piano, keyboard, trumpet, guitar and bass guitar.

With a huge passion for composing for film, television and live music, Sar is consistently working on short films, digital content, production music and orchestrations. This work has notably included composing original music for short films; ‘Wasteland’ produced by Bryce Webster and ‘Bonds’ directed by Guilherme Toscano. Additionally, Sar has assisted with orchestration work for ‘Jersey Boys Live’ with MADBS Composing Palace.

Sar is currently composing music for libraries used on network television with Melodie and Primerchord Production Music, and has had music placed on shows aired on ABC, Foxtel, Binge and Channel 7, as well as streaming services such as Netflix.

Over the past few years, Sar has worked with a number of ensembles, including Gondwana Choirs, creating commissioned works for performances. They have composed choral works for junior choirs, which have been used by numerous schools in performances and workshops.

Sar is passionate about the energy created by live music and has arranged orchestral parts for a number of Australian bands, including Crocodylus and Salarymen.
